In an historic, precedent-setting transaction, Preservation Development Partners was one of two development firms selected as the winning bidders in the New York City Housing Authority’s search for committed housing preservationist entity to acquire the major interest in New York City’s sale of 867 public housing apartment units owned by the Housing Authority (NYCHA). The properties are located throughout Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn. The transaction closed in late 2014. Preservation Development Partners and its co-developer partner will invest more than $100 million in repairs and renovation to the properties.
